On Wednesday August 27th (which also happens to be my Dad's birthday) we took our daughter to her first ball game. Scott was in heaven! We had a great time and Eliza made it all the way through the 6th inning.

3 and a half months
At almost 15 weeks, our little girl is taking some major strides. She officially rolled over onto her tummy the other day trying to get one of her toys. We were making dinner and heard little grunty noises coming from the play mat and there she was looking just as surprised as we were. Good news is she quickly learned how to roll back to her back. She's talking up a storm and I swear she said "hello" the other day. It was really freaky actually to hear a sound that sounds like an actual word come out of such a little person. Yesterday we discovered that she only talks in the car when the radio is on. I'm pretty sure she thinks she's conversating with the radio announcers. She's sleeping pretty well since we moved her to her crib and only wakes once or twice in the night. We weighed her yesterday and she came in at 12 lbs 14 oz. She's gained over 40 oz in 4 weeks! She's growing out of a new pair of jammies every week I swear. Oh and the newest skill. The girl can DROOL!!!! It's not just drool, though. She makes the biggest collection of spit bubbles that she looks like a really cute Cujo. She's laughed about a half dozen times but she's smiling at everything and everyone. I know she's about to crack up laughing any day now. She's discovered her sense of touch and wants to feel everything. We took a nap this morning and I woke up to her little hands gently exploring my face and when I opened my eyes I got a smile to die for. She's really taken to her bunny that I knit her while I was pregnant. (so cool for me) In fact she won't sleep without it which means I better get started on a back up. We've named it Knuffle Bunny after our new favorite book from Cousin Lauren. (she bought it the week before she found out we were pregnant!) Well, that's about all for now. Here's a picture of Eliza Kate napping in her stroller with Knuffles, one talking to Papa Joe and one in her pretty dress with Daddy.

Eliza and the Chihuly... a tale of love
So we live 3 blocks from the DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park, where the latest exhibit is an installation of blown glass by Seattle Artist Dale Chihuly. Turns out it's the perfect entertainment for a 3 month old. It's like being inside a Dr Seuss book. We have a museum membership and have been 3 times already.

First Family Vacation...Philly & Surf City
Well we had quite a week. First cousin Mike popped by while he was in town for work. We stopped in Philly to see Aunt Linda and the girls before heading down to Surf City for Stacey and Scott's wedding. EK did awesome travelling and she really enjoyed meeting all of her aunties and uncles and cousins, especially her pal Alexander. Never the selfish type, she took the time to sit on everyone's laps and tell them each a long drawn out story. just like mommy. she's smiling and talking up a storm and she's laughed a few times but i think this week she's going to really figure it out. i gotta figure out how to upload video.
